England Cricketer Visit
Great Paxton CE Primary School were visited by Lydia Greenway on Tuesday 2nd June as a reward for the Y1/2 children winning the Kwik Fire Threes cricket tournament last month.
Lydia has competed in 100s of cricket matches for England including test matches, ODIs and T20s. She achieved a world record in cricket and made her debut for England in 2003 against Australa.
Lydia shared with the children what is what like being a professional cricketer and the dedication and determination needed to succeed in any aspect of life. She held a question and answer session with the children before presenting the school with some cricket equipment.
Thank you to Lydia for taking time out to visit our school and thank you to Keven Clement for organising this special treat.
