School Council Members

"Hello, we are the School Council and we're here to help people and listen to the views of all."

The school council members for this year are:

Year 6

Eden and Henry

Year 5

Alexander and Ella

 Year 4

William and Layla

Year 3

Alfie and Abigail

We meet every Wednesday to discuss issues and make a difference to our school.

If you have any ideas then they should be passed on to your school council rep or you could write it on a post it note and put it in the ‘Pupil Voice’ box in your classroom!

Projects

Comic Relief

Our wonderful school council members decided they wanted to make a difference and raise money for a charity and chose Comic Relief. They organised a ‘Read and Move a Thon Event’ where children were reading or moving for a whole 60 minutes. School Council met every week to organise the event and spent their own time creating posters and promoting the event.

The children of Great Paxton School certainly did us all proud with their outstanding contribution to the 'Move and Read a Thon' fundraising event. Every single child showed enthusiasm and determination during each challenge. Even when they started to get tired, they kept on going with a smile on their face. Plus, their costumes were just fabulous!

We were absolutely thrilled to share we have raised nearly £1000 for Comic Relief - a great amount which we did not think we would reach

  •  We as a staff give reassurance to our children that we are there for them as Jesus was for his flock. We will care and look after them, we will teach them and do not leave anyone behind.
